Lauriston Castle

“Lauriston Castle is simply one of my personal favorite places to visit in Edinburgh.” – Atticus Oldman

Having been left to the nation by the last ownwer in 1926, Lauriston Castle is one of Scotland’s finest museums with many outstanding and important collections still in place including Italian Furniture, Sheffield Plate, Crossley Wool Mosaics and Blue John ornaments.

The delightful grounds which were laid out by William Henry Playfair in the 1840’s still offer one of the finest views over the Forth and the award-winning Japanese Friendship garden, gifted by the prefecture of Kyoto, is a tranquil place to enjoy a quiet moment of reflection
